North Star Coffee Celebrates One Year of Building Connections One Cup at a Time

North Star Coffee, a division of Ontario ARC, marked its first birthday on June 19, 2018, with celebrations and specials taking place throughout the week. Since opening a year ago, the coffee shop has hired 4 employees and provided internship opportunities to nearly 25 people supported by Ontario ARC. We are thrilled to be offering this opportunity that not only brews up delicious coffee, but creates jobs and valuable community connections for the people we support.

We kicked off the week talking with Ashley Doerzbacher live on Good Day Rochester! Ashley gave viewers a behind the scenes look at our coffee shop, talked with employees, Ontario ARC board members and customers about the impact our coffee shop is making in our community. North Star Coffee’s staff includes people supported by Ontario ARC. Employment opportunities encourage individual growth including learning the skills and tasks to professionally operate the shop and provide a warm, welcoming customer service experience.
