Autism Acceptance Month: Teen with Autism Meets Fellow “Puzzle Master”

Completing a 40,320 piece puzzle may seem like an impossible task for some, but not for a 93-year old Albion man, Garland Miller. He’s on a mission to complete a 10-part Disney puzzle, and he’s getting some help from one of Ontario ARC’s very own puzzle-enthusiasts.

When Aimee Gilbert, Autism Manager at Ontario ARC heard about Garland’s quest to complete the massive puzzle, she was immediately reminded of another “puzzle master,” Liam Sullivan, who participates in Ontario ARC’s Active Academy After School Program.

“As soon as I saw he was working on the world’s largest puzzle so close to where we live, I thought that would be a great opportunity for Liam to be in a room with the world’s largest puzzle because he loves puzzles,” said Aimee. “For Liam, when he’s working on a puzzle, it’s when he’s just happy and calm, it’s his passion.”
