Join us and help “Spread the Word to End the Word” on March 7th!

Ontario ARC’s Self Advocacy Group “Speak Up, Speak Out” is hosting an awareness event to promote inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The celebration will be held from 1PM – 1:45PM at Ontario ARC’S Main Facility, 3071 County Complex Drive in Canandaigua. Respectful and inclusive language is essential for the dignity and humanity of people with intellectual disabilities.

Let’s all pledge to make RESPECT the new “R” word! Language affects attitudes. Attitudes impact actions.

Come join in the celebration on this annual day of awareness! There will be pledge signing, music, refreshments and members of our ARC community sharing why “spreading the word” is important to them. “Spread the Word” bracelets will be on sale for $1.00. All are welcome!
